Hello,

I am a senior applying to PhD programs for next fall.

I am starting my GRE studying today and I hope to take the exam in about a month.

Is that cutting it close?

I am an engineer, so I have extra pressure to do well on the math lol as long as I dont make ridiculous mistakes.

Any advice on which books might be the best?

Thanks. I appreciate your advice.

As long as it takes to get practice scores in the target range. Leaving yourself a month may be enough, or it may not. At this point, you've not left yourself much wiggle room. Do what I did and take a practice test before studying so you have an indication of how much more you need to do.

I recommend to all that you aim to take the GRE sometime in April-June before your applications. This way, if you need more time to study, you have it.
