oh and at our school, freshmen can start out with us history

Some schools have people that self-study AP tests. In my school, some seniors, this year including me, are going to self-study some tests, such as Psychology.

haha prankityclankity. That's the only reason we have APs, too.

9

AP World History
AP English Language
AP English Lit
AP Physics
AP Stats
AP Calc AB
AP US History
AP Chemistry
AP Biology

I'll be taking all 9 of them in the next 2 years (my junior and senior years)

So yeah I go to a horrible school but w/e I'll be valedictorian =]

Biology
Calc AB/BC
Chemistry
Macro/Micro Econ (maybe)
English Language
English Lit
European History
Human Geography
Physics B
Psychology
Statistics
US History
World History

So 15 APs, which is more than I thought. Some people who are really good at languages take the language exam, but I don't think they're offered otherwise. My school is also an IB school, but we manage to fit in AP as well (everyone takes at least 6 by the time they graduate, if not more).

Physics
Euro
US History
Chem
Bio
English Language
English Lit
Spanish
French
German
Calc BC/AB (students can only take one of the two, though)
Art
Art History
Stats
Human Geo
Psych

17, then... but, the maximum amount of AP's that a student can possibly take is 9.

Yeah, I forgot to mention what age one had to be. Let me explain:

Freshmen: None available.

Sophomores only: AP World History

Junior only: AP U.S. History, AP English Language/Comp

Seniors only: AP English Literature/Comp, AP Microeconomics

Junior or Senior: AP European History, AP Biology

I guess AP Statistics and AP Calculus AB depends on the kid. If you went to a middle school and had the equivalent of the Calc or Stat prerequisites, then I bet you could get into the AP maths as a freshmen or sophomore. Obviously, they are open to juniors and seniors for sure.

Most students can only take 5 at my school.

Freshman: none

Sophomore: none

Junior: AP Psychology, possibly AP Calculus AB or BC (only select students)

Senior: AP English, AP US History, AP Spanish, AP Statistics

When all is said and done, there isn't a lot to choose from. However, that is why ambitious students can self-study. I feel like my lack of AP classes is a weakness to my app, but I have taken all available (besides Spanish because I am in German, and besides Clac AB because I took BC). I know they compare what is offered with what you take, but I feel that students in my situation have a tough time proving to AdComms that they are just as hard-working and motivated (as well as smart) as their competitors who took like 15 AP classes.

Did you take the AP German test? Or will you?

YAY GERMAN STUDENTS!!!

Wir sind die besten Leuten!

AP Spanish
