I'd rather take less APs and spend more time enjoying the college experience and classes. I wouldnt want all that credit.

I find it annoying when people claim to be taking AP classes that don't exist... I guess some schools call hard classes APs because of weighting, but I think people on the forum should have enough sense to check if it's a real AP class or not.

US History, Vergil, Language and Comp, Human Geography, Chemistry, Biology, Literature AP, Physics B, Calculus BC.

The course is called
AP Anatomy and Physiology

It's titled AP because no idiots take it, it's weighted- but there is no AP examination at the end of the course.

I agree, it shouldn't be called an AP course if it's not with collegeboard. It's a trademark and I remember there was a whole problem last year with schools labeling classes "AP" when they weren't. I understand AP-level, but there should be another term for it. Not "AP". Just my opinion though.

I agree with you... for the GPA boost, why not call just it honors? AP implies an exam for college credit.

But whatever. I guess there's logic to it somewhere.

It certainliy applies to Multivariable Calculus which my school requires; you need a 4 and a B of some variety to take it. We get AP GPA form it.

Disclaimer: This is the hardest schedule at my school. I used to go to another school where people didn't take many APs. I saw lists of 12+ APs on this site and got really worried that I was competing with those people. But don't worry if your school is like that. Take the hardest classes at your school, and you'll be fine at all top schools. If that means taking fewer APs than a kid at another school, that's fine and colleges won't care as long as you're doing the most YOU can do in your situation.
