How Many APs?

10th Grade: AP Programming A

11th Grade: AP US History, AP English Language, AP Calculus AB

12th Grade: AP Micro Economics, AP Macro Economics, AP Psychology, AP English Literature, AP Chemistry > Not actually in AP German, as my school does not offer it, but I am fighting with the FLDC in order to have it offered this year, since he got it for his son last year.

Nine APs but eleven tests.

Seven out of the eleven offered at my school, but I will see if I can take one more instead of an Economics class. Eight is the most I can take, since my schedule won't allow me to take more.

Micro and Macro are offered together as one course, macro is the 1st semester, and micro is the 2nd semester.

sixteen ap tests

Let me see: English Language, Psychology, US history, chemistry, government, economics, English Literature, Calculus BC, World history, European history, and Chinese. That'd make it 11.

8 AP classes (out of 9 offered in the school, one of them is spanish AP, which i can't take because I'm in French):

12-14 exams...not sure on the number yet!

APUSH, US Gov, Comp Gov, Chem, Bio, English (Lit), Calc AB.

I'm gonna have 4. :(

I would have like 11 but I'm moving to a Third World Country with a bad school system.

Yay for the UN. [not.]

which country and why?

Bhutan [it's between India and China]. Because mi papi works for the United Nations.

Harrumph.

Do you move around a lot, then?

Let's see:

AP English IV, AP Spanish Lang, AP US his, AP World His, AP Government

im probably missing some...not that many but I am taking 4 this year.
i was away for junior year.

I guess.

Born in Switzerland, grew up in New Zealand, USA for now, Bhutan soon.

yeah, kindofalot.

Interesting tinabelle. What accent do you speak in?

Your dad works for the UN!!. What does he do exactly?

I have mostly an American accent [:(] right now, with a touch of kiwi-ness. But oh man I use kiwi expressions like you wouldn't believe. So people are always confused cuz it makes no sense. As soon as I hear an Aussie, British, or Kiwi accent, I sound like a hardxcore kiwi. Then, when in Europe, I don't really speak English at all. Haha.

My dad's an economist. So he's basically making Bhutan an economy. Right now they have "Gross National Happiness" as opposed to "Gross National Product" and that sorta stuff. :P

I love how wonderfully off topic we are. AP's? Nahhh, Bhutan's cooler.
<3

For DS1: 12

HS offers 25 AP exams; I don't know anyone who takes that many because the HS offers too many advanced and cool electives to spend lots of time on APs. Block scheduling plus AP science classes = major schedule killer, too.

10th
AP Calc BC
AP Comp Sci AB
AP US Gov't

11th

DS1 wishes there were APs for multivariable and more comp sci...

For DS2 (in full IB Diploma program): Have no idea how many APs the school offers -- lots of kids do AP and IB for the same subject. We would like to try and avoid some of that insanity. Hopefully DS2 will pick schools that like and will give credit for IB.
