<p>Junior year visits – Swat, Haverford, UChicago, Tufts, Bowdoin, Colby, NYU, Brown, Cornell, URoch, W&M, St. Mary’s/MD, UMD, Georgetown, Dart, URoch, Mac, Carleton, CMU, CMC. Seven of them are local or within an easy day’s drive, some we did while on vacation, and DH and S2 did a spring break trip as well. This covers the summer after soph year through July of the summer after junior year. He wound up applying to eight.</p>
<p>He did many of his interviews locally w/alums, though a couple let him interview after April/May (Mac, CMC, CMU, URoch, St. Mary’s) of junior year, so if we were on campus visiting, he did it there. Went out to UChicago for an on-campus interview. Was not able to get interviews w/Bowdoin (they never got back to him) and Tufts (though he has chatted with admissions folk several times).</p>
<p>We really did as much as possible junior year becaue S plays football and is in an intense full IB program. We knew it would be tough to cover much new ground in the fall.</p>
