How many emails/letters did you receive from UCI?

The anxiety is killing me… UCI is my dream school, and I’m only waiting for its decision. After reading the thread about likely letters (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-irvine/1747352-what-does-this-letter-mean.html#latest) I investigated in my Inbox and found out that I did not get one.

In fact, I got an email dated 12.19.2014 that confirmed me that they received my application and reminded me to create the UCInetID account. Afterwards, I got one entitled “See what UCI Did in 2014”.

For UCSC, on the other hand, I received six emails in total before the acceptance email.

Is this a bad sign? I basically haven’t heard anything about UCI.

I didn’t get the email of the “likely letter” either. However I received 3 emails from UCI in total, the one telling my to set up my UCInetID, “See what UCI did in 2014”, and an email from UCI saying they received my FAFSA information.

@isaacnguyen‌ FAFSA is about financial aid, isn’t it? I didn’t request that, so I think we got the same emails.

Yeah, I don’t think we should worry too much about the speculated “likely letter” since it doesn’t state anything about acceptance, and I asked all my highly qualified friends and none of them received it either so I don’t think it should be a problem. Hopefully we both get in :slight_smile:

Only counting information after I applied (I got at least a dozen before the deadline, a few just reminding me about the deadline), 3 e-mails. A confirmation for my submission back in December, and then a request to update my FAFSA last month with another e-mail for my UCInetID information on the same day.

I received 2 emails from uci so far. The first was that they received my application and gave me the login details, etc.
The second was about my fafsa being updated. It read something along the lines of “We have either received new information for your file or we are requesting new information from you.”

Ok I just checked. I recieved one saying my application was recieved on Dec 27th. One about FAFSA. The one about “See what UCI did in 2014”. And one more on March 6th from the Vice-Chancellor saying to check portal.

I remember I also recieved a random letter in the mail from them like two weeks ago saying that decision wil be released in the upcoming month.

So 4 emails and 1 Letter

I got the 3 that @isaacnguyen‌ received plus that random “likely” letter and email though i doubt that they are, in fact, likely letters.

I received the same emails in addition to a snail mail written correspondence from the vice chancellor of student affairs to thank me for applying . The letter is detailed in another post. So far, not admitted …

After applying, I got the application recieved email, portal has been set up email, Irvine in 2014 email, vague email that could mean anything, and vague letter that could mean anything but I hope it’s positive. Oh and a bugload of password reset emails because I confused it with my yousc password way too many times

@dplazo I didn’t think I got it either, and I missed it twice when backtracking through my UCI search results. I’m pretty sure everyone got it.
