About 200.
I don’t accept people who I don’t know.
Most of the requests I get are from students who have seen my face, are friend of a friend, or just because we go to the same school and decided to add me. Which is stupid cause I won’t accept them.

I think it really depends on the school. If you go to a larger school you will probably have more friends. Also, I do notice that less popular people at my school tend to have around 300, while normal people have 400-600 and the really popular kids have around 1,000. I feel like its because the really popular kids tend to have parties with two close by high schools so they meet a bunch of people that way.

I have about 520 and my school size is 250. And, well the people that have like 1,000+ friends at my school tend to be popular at school but mainly have friends at bigger schools. Like there are a few pretty popular people in my grade that only have like 200 friends, this basically just means they don’t know/hang out with people outside of school. I’ve seen someone with 3 friends before. That person was my grandpa. And yes, I am friends with him haha, but not with my mom.

There’s this one guy that has around 4,000 friends, and I don’t really live in that big of a city. He basically friends anyone his age that has at least like two mutual friends with him. He friends absolutely everyone, and pretty much as soon as they join. He was my second friend request (and this was before I even met him or knew who he was) haha, the first one being from my best friend. It’s just really funny, because back at the time everyone was creating facebooks, a friend of mine would make one and the first question was if they had been friended by the guy. And almost always in the first 24 hours they had it, he friended them.

Urrrrgh… like 2300? But only because I went to like four different grammar schools, so I have a bunch of different small groups that I branched out from. My job is really dependent on social media, too, so that contributed a lot… too many blog groupies out there (;

But of those “friends,” I would only consider about 10 to be meaningful friends. Everyone else is just a convenient acquaintance.

Facebook friendships and facebook activity in general are very superficial. There are some kids who friend every name in the yearbook; there are others who only keep close friends.

Some people also have many friends due to summer programs or frequent changing of schools.

A bit over 200. I’ve been unfriending a lot of people that I don’t talk to anymore, since it just clogs up my newsfeed and I really don’t care about who got a new dog or who’s listening to what song. Actually, CC is starting to replace facebook for me.

I have about 500. I used to accept anyone who I had seen at my school, that was in middle school. For high school I accept anyone in my grade, and some people from grades above, some from the grades below, but no freshmen. There is absolutely no correlation between friends and popularity though, most people will accept anyone. I’ve started to delete people who I never talk to though.

At the moment, I have 321 friends. 900 or so students in my school. I don’t accept people I don’t like… 'nuff said. & Typically I don’t accept people I don’t know; I may accept 2 every few months or so… but I usually delete them right after anyway.
