Harvard, Cornell, and Dartmouth.

H(legacy),YP
(UURM)

Harvard, Yale, Columbia.
I'm still not exactly sure why I applied to Columbia since I'm not much of a humanities person.

harvard, yale, penn, cornell, darty, brown.

so that's like 6/8. wow, man. it will suck to not get in to any -- which is very likely.

@ the prophet - I'm 6/8 too, and with little shot of getting any. So, we can mourn together. =P

Why is it that everyone applies to so many Ivys or only Ivys? I see an Ivy League obsession here on CC. Anyways, good luck to everyone, hopefully you will all get into your 1st or 2nd choices.

I highly doubt I can get into H (The only Ivy or S+M I am applying to) so I would like to join the mourn circle as well; the more you mourn now the less a rejection will upset you :), and if you do get accepted by some chance, then the more exciting it will be :).

I applied for purely financial reasons; rest assured, I prefer Wellesley, Bowdoin, Barnard, etc. over several of the Ivies (not all, but a few), but, well, financial aid is an issue for me, and my income bracket is pretty much covered by all eight.

I see, good reason. How about the rest of you?

I applied to five
harvard, princeton, brown, penn, and columbia

and im not getting into any of them... have you seen how many more applications they got this year!? impossible

I am most likely going to apply to both Dartmouth and Cornell next year. My chances.... as tiny as Nicole Richie was pre-pregnancy. =)

Dartmouth (deferred), Harvard, Yale, Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Penn...I almost wish i did princeton it up but friend who was 2300 and immigrant and spoke 7 languages and from jersey was rejected, so what chance did i really have? Really liked them all in their own way, though, not just applying to apply.

I applied to Harvard, Princeton, Yale (deferred), and Dartmouth. The other Ivies are lame.

Perhaps you're lame in the eyes of the admissions officers at the schools you just mentioned, as suggested by your deferral. If you can't justify it, don't speak so condescendingly of institutions that many consider to be some of the finest in higher education.

this is true. i second that.

harvard dartmouth and penn

Son applied to Cornell, Harvard and Yale (deferred)

Zero since no way I would get into any of them with a 31 ACT or 4.7 GPA. Even if I did, I would not want to go to a school so competitive.
