I’ve only smoked cigars before because my dad wanted me to try it, lol. Honestly, I don’t have an interest in any of it, except maybe pot for anxiety. I’ve drank before and I do not like the feeling at all (or how other people act when they’re drunk, for that matter). Cigarettes are just generally disgusting to me.

As for other people doing it, I don’t really care. Actually, I’m good friends with a few pot smokers, haha. There seem to be a lot of people who smoke or drink who are completely brilliant, so as long as it doesn’t interfere with that, I don’t see a problem with people choosing to do those things. It’s really only a problem when it causes harm to themselves, friends, or family.

And in regards to this debate, while I personally don’t believe in it, other people obviously will probably continue to for the rest of the eternity. And it’s fine–although I will probably leave a room or something if there’s smoke, just for physical reasons.

But, like someone has said earlier, it’s THEIR life. I have no right to interfere with that.

Also, don’t just judge someone automatically for smoking.

That being said, I do not see why people would smoke cigarettes…but that’s just my view. So be it.

This thread was so annoying. Why, oh why did I skim it?!

Anyway, I’ve never smoked, but I probably will smoke hookah. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it. Medically speaking, smoking hookah is something one usually does rarely enough and that it doesn’t matter. I’m not denying that it doesn’t involve a significant amount of tobacco, but it is pretty rare for hookah smokers to become addicted to nicotine, and hookah’s been around for hundreds of years.

Smoking marijuana isn’t exactly all that unhealthy either. I would much rather that my friends smoked marijuana than cigarettes. Not that my friends smoke cigarettes. This is just a hypothetical.

You guys do know what they say about the law and morality, don’t you?

To each his own, right?"

I basically agree with this whole thing. I think I’m done with this thread haha
It doesn’t seem like I’m convincing anyone so I’ll just let things be. Thanks for the interesting conversation! It’s helpful to gain a different perspective.

I don’t comprehend your pondering lol
I know teenagers will likely experiment with drugs. It’s up to them to figure out what’s best for themselves.

What I don’t get is why they do them in class though. I’m serious, some people snorted cocaine in my art class last year(in class) and the teacher had no idea(sigh).

EDIT: O, and I meant to put quotes around my other response. Sorry about that!

I knew a guy who knew a guy who knew a guy whose roommate’s cousin’s best friend’s grandma smoked 14 packs a day from the age of 4 and lived to be 150.

I have not smoked anything, though I would be open to trying marijuana in the right situation and may smoke a cigar if the occasion calls for it haha. I don’t have anything against smokers unless they are blowing smoke in my face or are those little junior high kids who wander around town at night smoking and "bein’ all tough and ****.'

I consider myself to be a “good kid” compared to others in my school and I have smoked a cigar and did hookah once. It was at a grad party and everyone did it.

If you think people smoke to “look cool” you obviously have a twisted view on it. Sure, some self-concious kids might do it for that, but its for the experience. Do you really want to go through your whole life without experiencing it? As long as you don’t abuse it, it won’t negatively affect your life.
