How many people actually take 2 freshman seminars instead of 1?

I'm looking through the list of available seminars and there are so many that I find interesting! Thus, I would love to be able to take two seminars, one each semester. At the same time, I was wondering, would the seminars impede on taking some of the Gen. Ed or concentration requirement courses, since seminars don't count towards either. I'm asking this because I know I will probably be taking:

Math or Applied Math 21A
Expo #
Chinese 120a (hopefully)
Seminar or Economics 1010A

I'm interested in concentrating in Applied Math with Econ or Econ, but I'm not quite sure. Should I opt to skip the seminar and take the Econ class?

Wow we have an almost identical potential first semester schedules! :D

You don’t know yet whether you will be placed in Expos 20 in the fall semester or the spring semester. So what I did was to make that and the Freshman Seminar interchangeable! It is typical to take just one freshman seminar because as you said most do not count towards Concentration requirements (though apparently some do, i read that on the site)! Moreover just applying for a seminar does not mean you will get in! So apply to all the ones you are interested in and if you get a couple of hits back, make your selection from those! :)

I did! Depending on your concentration, graduation requirements may be as many as 28 courses or as few as 18. If you have a loose concentration like me you’ll have many, many free electives ;)

D took zero instead of two and has no regrets.

I took one, wish I had taken two.

I took one, wish I had taken two.

Also, there’s a concentration with only 10 requirements for non-honors.
