The highest number of semi-finalists in my school ever has been 4.

Zero.

My school is only about 4 years old right now, and the highest SAT score was 2200 something. :(

Does anyone know approximately how many kids get a perfect SAT score in one year ?

I think this should be much decreased since the writing section has been incorporated

Highest I've seen at my school is a 2390.... probably about 10% of the Class of 2006 have 2100+.

1 kid got 2400, and he got accepted early decision to harvard. but what sucks is that out of a class of 350, about 15 kids have composite scores above 2350!!!!!!

no one broke the 2200 barrier yet. but we've had kids already accepted to duke, mit and a couple ivies

I go to a highly competitively, heavily asian-populated public school in NJ. As for semifinalists, last year we had 24.

None, and I don't think there ever will be, at least not in the near future.

None yet, but there's this one kid who i'm positive can do it or get really close--he took it once so far, at the beginning of his junior year, and got around a 2200-2300.

None. Too improbable.

NMSF Finalists 2002: 25
NMSF Finalists 2003: 21
NMSF Finalists 2005: 6
We had six 2400s last year (current freshmen), one among the current seniors, and my grade has two and may have as many as eight join the ranks by next year.

^^ That's insaneeee. What school do you go to kman?

Probably the Chuck Norris School of Kick Ass.

At least 4. And one got perfect score on PSAT too.
1: deferred Harvard EA, got into MIT, and rejected Caltech(still waiting bunch)->me.lol
2. accepted to Princeton ED->who got perfect score on PSAT.
3. deferred Harvard EA
4. deferred Stanford EA, got in to MIT and Caltech.

We had one... she got into Harvard.

gxing - our schools sound similar :P where do you go? One of those Bergen magnets?

JP Stevens :) I heard about that girl, and also the girl that passed away recently. She was my friend's friend. :(

aha JP Stevens
i envy you. lol
such a good school

Overall, it's not that good of a school, because there is a wide range of students. We just have a lot of overachieving asians who go crazy.

none here
Old SAT 1570, new SAT 2290 (1580+710) are our highs
