wat's the name of the school u go to gxing ??? is it public or private?

i graduated in '04 with the old test. but we had a kid who scored a perfect score twice. But what made it amazing was he didn't use a calculator (becuase the test is built so you dont technically need one). His gpa (2.2 i think) was **** becuase he was always concetrating on higher math and stuff instead. He got a full ride to RPI though I believe.

jovi, I posted my the answer to your question before, but I'll post it again. JP Stevens and it's public.

Zero .

Getting a perfect score without a calculator, for someone who's good at math, isn't particularly difficult. I did it, although it wasn't a result of my choice (I hadn't used a calculator in some time, randomly picked one up right before the test, and upon arriving in the test room discovered that it had no batteries). There are no calculations on the SAT that come even close to requiring calculators. I think the reason that a lot of people seem to "need" calculators is that they use brute computation (and the multiple-choice format) to circumvent actually solving many of the problems.

We usually have 1 or 2 each year, but we have like 16 or 17 NM finalists each year. A lot of people get 2300+ tho.

gxing...i go to AIT (the new school next to magnet)....its a new school, but pretty good..

jp stevens is in indian land (edison)...im def not surprised
im surprised that magnet doesnt have any perfect scores yet (at least not that i know of)...

what about BCA? theyre pretty good

one, me! maddddd 2300-2390s though. (montclair high school, nj.)

i think we had close to 35 NMSQT semifinalists and atleast 4 people with 2400s (that i know of)

What school do you go to biyatch lol?

mission san jose high in fremont

^ I know a few friends who go there. It's an extremely competitive school.

None... the closest is one kid with a 1580 on the old one (although his grades aren't that great), and a girl with 2320 (our valedictorian) on the new.

At my school an sat above 1250 is something very special. Everyone thinks a M+Cr of score 1420 is my hook to Harvard. They couldn't be more wrong.

wow my school is sad.
last year, class of 300, one kid got a 35 ACT and 2 got a 33, no one got above 2100 SAT (in missouri, not many kids take the SAT)
this year, class of 340, 3 kids got a 32, no one got higher.
next year (my class, who are juniors now)- one girl got a 34. two kids ( i am one of them) got a 32, a few 31's, a few 30's.. etc.
I have highest SAT, at 2130. second highest SAT is 2060. (for class of '07)

One girl last year got a 1600. I get the feeling that she did a lot of prepping for it. She had poor grades and is now attending Michigan State.

There was a senior last year with a 1600 who got rejected by all the Ivys. I think she went to CalTech, though, so not bad.
This year, there's one girl who says she got a 2400. But no one believes her. In the morning, it was a 2390, and by the end of the day it was 2400.

Don't know about "perfect" scores but check out these math results...note the "800 Club" This school has been in the news. http://www.tuhsd.k12.az.us/Desert_Vista_HS/academics/math/top.htm

rdkrn, as scary as that seems at first, it's not that impressive. there are at least 10 students per class that score 80 on PSAT math in my school.

We have one from our school (me) and about 4 2310-2350 scores, but after that, it just drops off.
