It certainly is realistic/possible to write 3 subject tests and do well on all 3 if the student is already strong in those subjects (i.e. does not need to study a lot or learn a lot of material for each subject)

Personal anecdote: I wrote MathII, Chem, and Bio-M all in one sitting and all my scores were above 740.

She is very strong in French & she would have taken AP Bio exam in May, so hopefully she will already be well prepared for those 2 tests. She will have to study harder for Math II. Worst case, if she doesn't do well in the Math II practice, she will prepare over the summer take that in Fall.

The tests that my daughter did the best is the one she took by itself. She scheduled one test per day. It's not as cheap but it's better than retaking it multiple times.

that's probably ideal. she doesn't have test dates left to do that by June, so she could take Math II in fall with summer preparation - she is getting 690-730 scaled score on BB Math I sections.

why not take the Bio subject test in May, prior to AP? IMO, the language tests are difficult for non-native speakers, and should only be taken if kids are in ~AP level (assuming aiming for a 700+).

She has a few dates: May, June, Oct, Nov.
I leave the math, lit for Oct, Nov.
May and June dates for Bio, US History, Chem, etc.. subjects that you could forget easily so it's best to take right after taking the class.

D has an EC conflict with the May test date, so she has to take at least 2 SAT II's on the June test date. We'll see her March Math test results and decide if she would be better finishing the other's now and taking the Math II in the Fall.

Is US Hist. subject test really easy? My daughter is taking APUSH & APBio. She has studied French from 1st grade, and has been in Honors French since 5th grade and doing very well. That's why even thou she's not a native speaker she wants to take it.

bluebayou - her current class is French IV AP/IB level, but kids don't take the French AP until Senior year. She will still have to study hard for it though as she is aiming for a 750. Heard that the lang tests are TOUGH

All of the language tests are very difficult.
One would have to be an exceptionally good language student to pull off a 750+.
One would also need experience doing well on standardized exams.

I have friends who are superior Spanish students, but they couldn't even break 700 because they weren't good test-takers.
I consider myself awesome at Latin, but I only managed 780, 92nd percentile.

It would seem to me that studying for the APs this spring and their respective Subject Tests would take precedence over "study[ing] hard" for French language test. If your D is doing reasonably well in AP Bio APUSH, taking those subject tests in the spring while the material is still fresh is a no-brainer, IMO, unless she needs a French score for a summer program.

Just my $0.02.

btw: there is no difference in the curves by test dates. While the raw score may differ by a question or two, the scaled scores are statistically equivalent. Often times its just the luck of the draw -- are the passages halfway interesting, or real sleepers.
