Yeah why 1-2 weeks? You should probably bring like 2-4 weeks of clothing. If you forgot anything labor day weekend you can pick up more stuff since the only lenghthy break will be in November ( non in October). As for type of clothes well you definatly might want to bring formal wear in case you need it for anytype of interview but I doubt you will need such your first semester. Casual and typical clothes ( blue jeans etc…) probably best to bring at least 2 weeks worth. A lot depends on storage since you will likely have a roommate and wouldn’t want to feel like your taking up all the space.

Definitely bring at least business casual clothing. More likely than not you will need it. I was one of the few people that brought it from the start and I was letting people borrow things left and right.

just take what you can fit in your suitcase and have your parents ship the rest gradually.

UFBARBIE - My mom would kill me as well! As I said, the only reason it happened was because I was sick and wasn’t even planning on going, but my friends dragged me after dinner and there was no time to go back to my room and change.

I tend to dress in a nicer fashion than I would on a daily basis when I go to church, but will I wear jeans? Absolutely! It’ll just be my nice, dark wash wide leg ones or something like that rather than my faded looking black ones

haha I go to a church where you can show up in t-shirts and flip flops. But then again, I was invited one week to go to a church where my friends wore a dress shirt and tie and nice khakis. That church didn’t have many college students :)
