<p>I think when I apply to VT Early Decision for University studies I will be on the bubble, with a little above average SAT and ACT scores, a little under average grades, and 8 AP's. but i was wondering how much Essays count, because I write great essays and was wondering if that would put me over the top</p>
<p>A great essay won’t hurt. It won’t help a ton, but it won’t hurt, particularly if you’re really on the edge of the bubble.</p>
<p>it won’t break your application but it can make all the difference.</p>
