My sophomore year grades weren't EXTREMELY terrible, but I really stepped up my courseload -- AP Euro and AP Calc were quite the challenge. For the most part, my grades were good. For the three terms, my grades would look like this (I go to a boarding school that has a bizarre system of grading, but I will try to translate): French A+, English A+, History B+, Random Requirement Filling Elective A-, Math/Science Elective C+.

I know. It's terrible. I make no excuses; I am pathetic at anything mathematical or physics related. The point is: How much can I make up for this Junior Year? I'm expecting / aiming for my 11th grade grades to look like this (on our strange 1-6 scale)

Pre-AP French 6, AP English Lit 6, AP US History 6, AP Biology 5, AP Calc 5.
That's roughly straight A's.

If I'm hitting the 5.5 (which is on the higher end of the Honor Roll), do you think colleges will overlook the crapfest that was my sophomore year? And forgive me slightly as they notice that sophomore year was the year I drowned myself in extensive extracurricular activities? I have good SATs, lots of leadership positions, and I go to a rather prestigious school. Oh, and by the way, by colleges, I mean Yale.

Could someone please help me out here, so I can get back to enjoying my summer (read: agonizing over the precarious state of my future to anyone who will listen)?

Oodles of love and thanks in advance!
