How much % do you need to get right in order to score a 5 in BC Calc?

Hi CCers

I'm unsure on how to score the BC Calc exam.
I recently took a practice test--got like 12 wrong in multiple choice and 11 points taken off in the free response section (out of 54 possible points).

Does that guarantee a 5? Or should I study more until May 9th?

Thanks in advance!

im a junior taking the ab exam this year but we went over curves. that is a 5 by alot. on the ab i got a 31/54 on fr and 35/45 on mult choice and that was a 5. and the curve on bc is greater than that of ab

A 5 on the BC test is usually about 60% of the total points. Thus, you can get about 43 points taken off and still get a 5.

So if you can earn what you did on the practice test, you’re fine!

Thanks for your replies:)

With the guessing penalty removed, you now need closer to a 70/108 (nearly 65% of the points) to get a 5. Losing 23 points leaves you pretty well clear of that cut score, too, though.
