I recently visited Macalester and had did an on-campus interview with an admissions intern. The interview went incredibly well, we talked for well over an hour when the interview was supposed to be 20-30 minutes and went off the books and talked about all kinds of stuff that weren’t in her interview questions, like book recommendations and student voice. The day after, she followed up with a personalized email that included an organization she thought I would be a good fit for. Basically what I’m trying to say is that my interview went well and I was wondering how much of a pull that had in admissions/scholarships? I know some schools place a lot of importance on interviews (like make or break importance) but I hadn’t heard anything about how Mac uses interviews. Thanks!!
If for some reason you would need stats to answer this question, let me know, but I’m not going to list them if they don’t matter at the moment
