How much does inventing something helps?

If a candidate invents a medical device that has won an award, such as Intel STS, and several companies are interested in it and is on the process of bringing it to market, how much does this help in gaining admission to Caltech?

How much do you think? Of course this helps a lot. How much depends on how important of an invention it was.

Please don't tell us you're expecting a numerical number. No one can give you an exact figure.

I would love to give an exact figure. It is 42.

It'd greatly increase your chances. Same with writing a book (which I did).

42 is the magic number :). 42 what? Now that's an entirely different question...

Also, it's "help" not "helps."

Yes. I think using proper grammer is an even bigger advancement.

trackster, do you mean 'grammar'? =P

Presumably, that was the joke. ;)

spelling. Not so important as the grammer, and my spelling stands. very fun.
