First, to harp on other commenters messages really work on your grammar. I recommend Strunk & White and Writers INC. If you want a tutor for English post ads in local college English departments.
Second, seriously work on time management. I suspect however that the staying up to 3 am may be due to poor English, but that can be fixed with reading and tutoring.
Third, you have an awesome work ethic and will be successful in life because of it. Don't give up and good luck.

I am great at English, It is actually my favorite class. I Stay up at three o'clock when I have like five tests in one day. I normally sleep at one o'clock. Yes, I have do have five tests in one day. My school is really competive, and no I speak English really well, and I read alot of books. Grammer is my problem, not the speaking English.I have alot problems in grammer and NorthStarMom has really helped alot with that area. I dont know, I just want good grades. I want perfect grades, I just want to be the best. I dont know anymore, It is just so hard.

somehow my grammar naturally fell into place. I wasn't really ever taught comma usage, except for a short lesson with my one English teacher, which really didn't improve my knowledge. I think that probably reading, combined with using word to type stuff (so I could grammar check and see what was wrong), really improved my grammar.

As many people have said, it's really not healthy to stay up that late. Personally, I will do better on tests if I've barely studied and slept instead than studied a lot and barely slept. Doing well on tests is really proportional to how you keep up with the homework. Cramming the night before isn't the solution. Instead, make sure you read the textbook material thoroughly as you complete your hw, and ask questions in class if you don't understand something. Textbook websites are good ways to gauge how well you'll do on your test (usually they're listed on the textbook. If not, google the publisher). Several nights before the test should be devoted to rereading, not learning anything new.

Good luck in your search for colleges. I'm sure they'll be very happy to see so much improvement in your grades. Some schools don't even count 9th grade gpa, so consider yourself lucky that you're learning from your mistakes now.

Have you ever considered Oberlin? I just randomly thought of that...

Anyways, grammar in a lot of ways is a product of how you were taught English. If your family does't speak proper English, then that will most likely transfer over to you, thus hurting your writing skills. I really encourage a class in pure grammar or writing.

I looked at your H.S. course offerings, and you have a plethora of classes that I am really jealous of.

I found a creative writing course which could be a great way to improve your writing, and also a Speech class which could improve your verbal communication abilities. You also have the option of exploring other classes at a local college where you could take an Applied Grammar Course to get a better understanding of English.

...and please, we ALL work hard on CC, so stop complaining.

Well if you speak English well than Strunk & White will help with written English it's usu $5 or so.
If you are staying up to 3 am before test then you are not using your time wisely during the week and thus time management is a necessity before you burn out or something worse like a heart attack. It can happen, I have seen it.

Yeah, strunk and white is a great option also, even though it is extremely boring.

yea listen, ur post tells me that ur very dedicated and hardworking. if u put that stuff in an actually college essay, i would say ur very persuasive. but then again, there are too many freaking people like u in this world. and it would be cliched. anyways, since u have a lot of years remaining .. here are my suggestions. i go to a overachieving school also. my rank is 65/488 with 4.32.. yea thats right. i am a senior now and i have realized that it doesnt matter how many hard classes u take. just take 4/5 good honors classes and get like all A'S in them. my problem was that i took like 8 honors and my gpa was as good as just 2 honors and straight A's. another thing. try to be an overachiever in Extra curricular. get to know ur guidance counselor personally suck up to him. that all i can say for now. good luck.

columbia4life. it's not worth it trying to achieve goals that are too lofty. i don't mean to insult you, but i think by saying this, hopefully you'll be realistic and not get blown apart when really does hit youl. (it will hit you hard). there's just so much we can do in our lives in our days and nights.

you're optimistic but oversighting things a bit.

why don't you try living a happier life instead of punishing yourself right now.
