So my schedule for next year:
Ap Lang
Ap Spanish Lang
Ap Calc BC or Precalc HN
Ap Chem
Physics HN
APUSH

Just wondering how much homework these classes will have per night. P.S. is precalc harder than BC?

Just wondering how much homework these classes will have per night. P.S. is precalc harder than BC?

Hey! Well my schedule is
Sociology
AP HuG
AP English
AP American Government
AP Environmental Science
AP Psychology
Pre-Calc

I usually have about 2 or 3 hours of homework. Every night I have Pre-Calc which is no problem and FRQs from APES but other than that it’s just studying and making sure I understand concepts.

I don’t understand why AP Calc BC would be easier than Pre-Calc but for some people Pre-Calc is really hard for them but when they get to AP it’s a lot better. Personally, Pre-Calc is straight forward to me and in going into AP Calculus BC next year. You just need to get a feel for what is right for you.

Sorry! I felt that I didn’t correctly answer your question. AP English for me is little or no homework each night unless you don’t do your class work which turns into homework. Pre-Calc I have about 30 problems a night that could take 30-45 minutes. I have not taken APUSH or AP Chemistry but I don’t know that AP Chemistry at school has about 40 question a night but they are due all at the end of the week. AP Spanish has no homework other than writing an occasional essay. I have not taken physics yet even though I was supposed to (I’ll do it in virtual school over the summer)

Calc isn’t that hard because all it is is applying a simple, one-step process to algebra and/or trig. Well, concavity is more than one step, but still it isn’t that hard. Precalc is tough because of conics. Trig wasn’t that hard for me, but it could be for some people.

@Niquii77 Thank you so much. (:

1 hour

ap calc
ap bio
ap euro
ap enviro
english
global studies
band

iSabrina: Expect at least 3 hours of homework with that schedule. 5-7 with studying. Unless your school has grade inflation which in case you shouldn’t be worried.

At my speed about 30 min at home, I usually does most of it at school.

AP Lit
Algebra 2
Orchestra
Physics
Psychology

18 hours nuff said

It depends. I usually do my Japanese and APUSH homework in school leaving only math and sometimes English at home. Maybe 30 min if I try or 7 hours if I procrastinate, which I do a lot.

As a second semester senior, I do approximately 20 minutes of homework per night. And life is good.

Pschhh…homework? I have essays due on certain dates and examinations but NEVER homework.

Honors USH
Honors English
AP Bio
Trig
Physics

Well, it depends… On an average day I have about an hour or two of homework to do, not including studying for tests…

However, since I procrastinate EVERYthing… For physics, on the last day all our chapter homework/labs are due, I literally spend at least 5 hours doing homework… We switch chapters every 2-3 weeks.

For USH, whenever I have an essay (we have about 3 a quarter), I spend about an hour a day for 2 days and 3+ hours on the last day, writing the rough draft. When I get that back, it’s between 2 and 3 hours of work.

For english essays, I usually spend 4+ hours writing it the day before.

(btw, I am a VERY slow writer)

Trig doesn’t have much work; just a worksheet everyday that takes about 15 mins to do.

And Bio pretty much has an hour of work every day.

OH, and the last week of every quarter is absolute HELL. That entire week every teacher packs on as much homework/tests as possible, and I end up putting in 4+ hours each night for the last 3 days.

P.S I hate junior year.

P.P.S. I miss sophomore year<3 I didn’t have to do much work to have a 96+ average. ):

4~7 hours

usually an hour or two for ap calc bc
ap spanish…i would just need to study the day before tests. not much homework
apush…roughly an hour a day
ap bio…roughly an hour a day
ib computer science…don’t have to study haha. usually in class assignments. we do have a 30 page dossier due soon though =[
ap comp…rarely any hw

P.S. I hate junior year.

P.P.S. I hate second semester junior year even more.

This semester I have AP Euro, AP Micro, AP Stat, and AP Lit. It’s a pretty chill schedule. Sometimes I’ll have 5 hours of homework, and on other nights such as tonight I’ll have nothing…

Most nights have none- maybe 1-2 times a week I have 30 minutes- once in a blue moon I’ll have 2-4 hours (usually when some big project is due the next week.)
