I couldn’t resist clicking on the thread… cracked me up!
OP-your post is so cute and naive that it makes my heart ache for your silly little self. Good rule of thumb: donate enough to have a building, wing of a teaching hospital, or an athletic facility with your name on it, and then you can possibly be in the realm of what you’re asking.
Harvard might be too expensive, but you might find some schools in your price range. That sort of thing does go on, bu it helps if you are close to the level to get in anyway. Reading the OP, you might not be the style the admissions people are looking for or find it that easy to make connections at top schools.
lols… punked:) I would up the donation since Harvard usually lags Stanford in fund raising.
Sorry, but such a silly question. First, transfers used to be much more common. I was shocked to learn they actually stopped them for a period. Short of donating a building, the answer is zero. Everyone at Harvard has an IQ in this range. In face, most students have a high intellectual capacity but more importantly show an interest in learning, have done amazing things in their lives and have a deep need to do something in a particular field. ( As an undergraduate I met a friend who had built a hospice network for AIDS patients, a woman who sold her bakery business to become a doctor, people who did amazing things in the world and were less than 22. Building a business is great. I think putting your IQ in the application would be laughed at. I certainly would have laughed at someone who said that in class. Your intellectual capacity will be revealed via standardized test scores and other factors. If you want to impress that you are profoundly gifted as opposed to highly gifted, write a paper and have it published in magazine. Do something bigger than yourself and make it grow beyond you so that it affects many people. Cure a disease. Don’t donate $ to Harvard. BTW, they don’t need it.
