My sophomore year I got A's in everything but a B- in Spanish 2. My GPA would have been a 4.4 but now is a 4.17. How badly will this hurt me

My dream schools are Georgetown and Duke.

bump me…

Is that your Only B? Is there a reason why you got it (ex: bad teacher)? If that is your only B- than colleges will see that something must have gone out of control and will hopefully forgive you. If its really bugging you than you could always retake it online

Well you answered your question yourself, your GPA dropped from a 4.4 to a 4.17 but aside that I don’t think it will matter. I can’t think of a major that has something to do with Spanish so colleges won’t put emphasis on that. But if you get a B in Algebra when you’re majoring in Engineering, it’s much worse.
