My sophomore year I got A's in everything but a B- in Spanish 2. My GPA would have been a 4.4 but now is a 4.17. How badly will this hurt me

My dream schools are Georgetown and Duke

If you keep your grades up for the rest of high school you should be fine.

Oh, my God, are you serious? First of all, if you have all A’s in everything except Spanish 2. Just think about that. Many colleges don’t hold you accountable for early grades because everyone has trouble adjusting to high school.

Second, even for places like Georgetown, languages are never given that much weight. Sure, if you want to major in linguistics, a B- might be a problem. But you clearly don’t hold it very high, seeing as it wasn’t an Honors course.
