How Much Will COVID-19 Affect How Colleges View My Application

So, I’m in the second semester of my junior year, so I’m going to be applying to colleges later this year, and I had a lot planned over the next few months for my extracurriculars to boost my application, but COVID-19 has ruined some significant aspects of my plans. I placed third at state for DECA after placing first at the two prior competitions and planned on placing at nationals which would’ve had a lot of weight because DECA is one of my biggest ECs. I also got accepted into a two-week entrepreneurship program at Berkeley that is supposed to take place in July but is also probably going to be canceled. I also had plans to put on a dress drive for prom in April through a club I started and plans to put together a gallery for local artists and designers over the summer although that might still happen. My concern is will colleges be understanding of the impact COVID has had on my application and I assume many others’ applications.

You will be the same boat as other kids who planned stuff for this summer that will not happen so yes colleges will take that into account .Good Luck
