I am a Chinese boy and a junior in U.S high school. This year I get 144 on AMC 12 A and 12 on AIME I. How much will my math accomplishments boost my chance to get into UCLA?
Those aren’t taken under consideration for UCLA.
@tomli1225 those are really good scores on those tests. Did you qualify for the USAMO? Even if you didn’t, it’s worth mentioning your scores on your UCLA application, particularly if you’re interested in majoring in math. My daughter didn’t do nearly as well as you did and she mentioned her scores on her application under the awards and honors section. At the least, you could say something about taking the AIME which is an honor in itself. @10s4life, how do you know these aren’t taken into consideration?
@mom2jl sorry I didn’t finish the post. I meant they aren’t taken into consideration as test scores for academic achievement at UCLA. It would go under the awards/honors category which doesn’t get too much weight.

Most highly selective colleges (Ivys included) give a high boost to USAMO qualifiers (that is an award and an honor in itself). I don’t see why UCLA would be any different in that sense.
Most qualifiers are seniors, so you are one of a smaller number that can actually put that on a college application.
