How Obsessed with Harvard are you?

<p>Everyone knows Harvard is the best, and most of us aren't too proud to beg, but what is the real thing that draws you away from Princeton, Yale and Stanford and makes you want to go to Harvard? What's one thing you've done that qualifies you for obsessive compulsive about Harvard? ;)</p>

<p>Me: My two best friends are both going to be in MA (MIT and Wellesley) and I really need to be there too, but more urgently... There are three old cemeteries around the Cape Cod area rumored to be haunted by colonial spirits, and Harvard just happens to be close enough to go visit those cems and old enough to have references and resources about the residents of the cems when they were alive O_O <8D</p>

<p>Um, the freshmen dining hall. I can't go to Hogwarts, so that's the next best thing....
but really, for me what made Harvard stand out among the Ivies was Boston. It is the most fantastic city. That, and when I took the tour, it really was like falling in love. Halfway through the admin's speech, I knew I'd be applying. Before that, I had no intention of even applying to any Ivies at all!</p>

<p>Obsessive? Probably joining CC... aren't we all obsessive compulsive on here?</p>

<p>@laststop: agreed! XD i got this really nice map of massachusetts and according to it, harvard is only 1 hr and 46 minutes away from cape cod, which totally makes harvard better than everyone else XP</p>

<p>^^^ did you apply only to one school? i should hope not. simply because i acknowledge that not everyone regards it as the best institution of higher education does not mean that it is not a great school. i would LOVE to "end up" at harvard.</p>
