<p>How often do college professors/teaching assistants receive a thank you of any kind after the course is over?</p>
<p>My dad has been a college professor for 45 years (he’s still going strong at 73). I know he’s gotten some really nice notes over the years. I don’t think it happens too often, though.</p>
<p>If you are thinking of sending one, I’d send it after grades are assigned. Sending one before seems really tacky.</p>
<p>Doubt it happens all that often. I’m going to be honest i’m about to start my Sophmore year and i’ve never done it and never really heard of anyone doing it. Closest I ever came to doing something like that was when one of my teachers said that he’d enjoyed having me in his class and I said i’d enjoyed being in it.</p>
