How often do you hear from them??

Linda - I'm not getting too many phone calls either. When I do they are at the oddest times. We did just see him Saturday. My DS didn't experience a second of homesickness. He'll probably be bored to death when he comes home. The worst part is that he'll expect to be fed!!!

He is playing lacrosse at a bunch of outdoor tournaments this fall and needs us to help drive kids, so we'll see him a bunch of weekends coming up.

I get to make the drive over to pick up D this weekend...so I can get her to an orthopedist. Balky knee problem returned while running, perhaps enough to warrant arthroscopic repair. I recommended getting her back immediately, so that she can get it repaired and rehabbed quickly enough if she wants to compete in her winter sport.

What do you do when you start missing them? I haven't felt that way until today - when she called her dad but not me.

PhotoOp-one word: redecorate!

Son called today, asked us to school this weekend and take him out for 'something, anything'.
I guess he is kind of tired about stay in one place for two weeks (or maybe he miss our SUV).

Thanks baseballmon - that's not a bad idea. She did call last night and was a brat, so that cured me for now :)

Just don't paint HER room!

My college D didn't like what I said to her on the phone Monday night. She ended the call by saying "Don't call me for a couple of days." I've learned to take a deep breath and go get new paint chips! She has yet to call but I finally decided on a new color for the living room.

No, I wouldn't dare. But I did put the cat box in there :)

How ironic-Just put new carpet in the family room and a runner on the stairs! Can't wait for our son to come home for Thanksgiving and see it (hopefully without muddy shoes).
