How often does Harvard rescind for bad grades?

Usually just lurk these forums but I’m a bit freaked. I was a 4.0 student until 2nd semester senior year. My fault really, I decided to take my most rigorous course load ever during the busiest semester of my life. My grades have declined to all A’s and a B in genetics and a C in chemistry 2. Is this bad enough to get me rescinded? My GPA will be taking a hit for sure but since the semester is essentially done these grades are pretty much certain. Any advice?

Very rarely.

No

Try not to get a C.

Harvard admitted you from almost 40K applicants because they want you, so congrats. They really don’t want to rescind any offers. Conventional wisdom is don’t gets D’s, don’t get arrested, and don’t be found to have misrepresented yourself in your application.

I would add that you should act appropriately in Harvard social media groups, including Facebook, Snapchat, and any groups built for your class by other classmates.
