Just wondering because we have been reading the same profiles for going on 3 years now. How often do they update the qualitative info? Is the quantitative updated annually?

i think everytime theyre about to put their 366 best college books or any other ranking book…if the book thing holds true then it would be every year

historymom – are you talking about the yearly PR “Best ## Colleges” books? I was actually reading the intro stuff in the 2008 guide last night because we were looking for info on U of Rochester, and it isn’t included. It said they do annual surveys, and there are some top schools not included in the guide because the school administration won’t allow students to complete the surveys. (So, H & I figured that’s what happened to Rochester, since it is listed in the 2005 edition, which we still have from D’s search – which, by the way, was titled “Best 357.”) I also read that they find remarkable consistency in student responses from year to year.

I was talking about the website, sorry for the lack of clarity. I think that reading the student comments re. different schools in interesting and helpful as a jumping-off point for looking more closely at some campuses. It would be helpful, though time consuming I am sure, to update the narratives more frequently and I was hoping I could expect that soon.
