<p>Depends whether the class actually uses the textbook a lot. I’d use the pdf version if the textbook wouldn’t be used often, otherwise I usually grab the paper version anyhow, since it just feels easier to study that way. Plus reading off a laptop screen all the time seems like it’d be somewhat annoying. It’s convenient to have a second pdf copy so I can read it on my iPhone in class, etc. However, if the textbook was like $150+ dollars and I found a pdf copy, I’d use the pdf one for sure.</p>
