So, I'm 2 years out of high school. Took the first year off to relax and ultimately not do anything, the took summer classes at the college one town over from my home town. I messed up those classes, only had 4 and barely passed one of them. Now I'm in the fall semester and I hate my classes. And, like summer, I'm failing all of them. I really don't want to be in school anymore until I figure out what I want to do with my life, but at the same time I don't want to join the military or navy. Any thoughts or tips on what I should do? Thanks.

Get a job? That’s really your only option besides college and the armed forces. I’m guessing its practically impossible for someone of your age without a degree to get employment though, you should probably the best you can to salvage your grades.

Maybe you’re taking too many classes? Or something is distracting you from doing well? Or maybe after taking that break after high school, you just can’t get back into studying mode? I don’t know what’s going on in your life, but something must be stopping you from passing your classes. If I were you, I wouldn’t give up no matter what. Maybe only take one or two classes and work, and then keep adding on classes when you see that you can handle it. It doesn’t matter how long it takes you to finish your education, as long as you finish it! I really think you should stick to college, not go into the military or navy. It won’t help you decide what you want in life. And neither will sitting around, doing nothing. With more classes, you’ll be more inspired at finding what it is you want. Hope this helped.
