<p>How selective is engineering at vanderbilt? I know it isn't a particularly highly ranked program, but I LOVE vanderbilt. I applied RD, and for the school in general I consider myself a relatively borderline candidate. However, on the math portion of SAT1's, I scored a 750, and I scored a 780 on the Math2 SAT2.</p>
<p>The last time I saw a reference to the average SATI score of students who enrolled in Vanderbilt engineering, the average was 1430 for M + V. I don’t know what the mid-50 spread was.</p>
<p>Don’t concern yourself with the “highly ranked” stuff. My son chose to attend VUSE over numerous more highly “ranked” engineering programs, and has not regretted the choice for one minute (he is now a junior).</p>
<p>Good luck. And don’t be discouraged if you are worried that your overall SAT I is not at the average or above level. Other factors will come into the decision.</p>
<p>I do not recall where I saw it, it may have been on a Vandy thread here on CC or how accurate the information is, but, the mid 50% ACT for engineering was 31-34.</p>
