How should I feel now?

I have a 2.3 left over from a rather poor preformence,
throughout Freshman year but I've preformed decent in my studies since and it shows a strong upward trend, in addition I will have three AP classes under my belt. In terms of EC'S I will have to put on my application the Cambridge College Programme, in which I did exceedingly well as I made all A's in my classes as well as getting the de facto recommendations of two Cambridge Professors who are fairly high profile in the sense of them being accomplished academics as well as to having wrote some books as well, also in terms of EC I will hopefully have debate to put on there in addition to Cambridge. Also I have written and have had published some History articles on community based history websites. Not to mention I also finished an internship with one of the Presidential Campaigns in addition to doing around 24 hours of volunteer work with one of the related political parties organization.

I have an ACT of 23(however Gettysburg and many of the other schools I'm applied to have SAT/ACT optional choices.

In addition my SAT subject test scores/AP exam scores and results were very good or close to perfect in all cases.

So quite a decent record when you look at things. In addition my low gpa also has alot to do with the fact that I have a severe learning disabilty in math which corrlates with low gpa when you look at things.

In terms of the Schools I've applied, I've already been deferred with Gettysburg.

Gettysburg College(Deferred but not denied in ED II)
Muehlenberg College
Washington & Jefferson College
Allegany college
Lycoming College
Ohio Wesylain University
Radford University
George Mason University
Susquehanna University(thinking about applying)
Marlbouro College(thinking about applying)

Since I've been deferred at a highly selective college how should I feel about some of the others which are still excellent but slightly less difficult to get into such as Muehlenberg College and Allegany College and so on and so forth? Since Gettysburg College was arguebly the most selective of them all.

So how should I feel?

Any opinions?

I'm going to bump this

Gettysburg College(Deferred but not denied in ED II) - I'd say DEFINITELY rejected with a .1% chance.
Muehlenberg College - Rejected.
Washington & Jefferson College - Rejected.
Allegany college - Rejected.
Lycoming College - Possibly. Reach.
Ohio Wesylain University - Reach.
Radford University High match/Low reach.
George Mason University - Probably rejected
Susquehanna University(thinking about applying) - High match
Marlbouro College(thinking about applying) - Probably in

You really need some safties.. but with a 2.3, nowhere is safe for you.

What makes you think I'm rejected from Gettysburg just yet? It seems they want to see how future grades are as thier final decison doesn't come until April.

Or Muehlenberg and Washington & Jefferson just yet, as I've had interviews and done the SAT/ACT optional choice with Muehlenberg and Lycoming also.

A 2.3 is.. really, really low. Gettysburg has a 37% acceptance rate, and.. that won't cut it. One percent of students come from the bottom half of their HS class. I know you say that you have a huge upward trend, but these schools do take pride in posting admissions statistics that make them look selective.

It would alot higher if I didn't have the lows grades in math, most likely above 3.0

I mean, schools will be able to appreciate an upward trend (if it's as good as you imply), so you do have a chance, I just think you need to consider some really low schools just in case.

How is Susquehanna University? I hear the only reason it really hasn't soared is that it is surrounded by better known schools?

Overall, you mean? It seems to have pretty good job placement:
Susquehanna University - Admissions: Success after Susquehanna - Results Statistics

It seems like it'd be an okay match for you. :>

What do you think of Marlbouro College if you know much about it?

Any more opinions?

I'm going to say GMU is a good bet/reach for you. I have a 2.8 with 1630 SAT score and I got accepted (I live within the 10 mi radius of GMU so that might have helped but..)

Really, you think I could get into Mason? Do you think my difficulty with my math requirements will hurt me?
