I will be taking AP calculus, chem and bio. I just want some knowledge of each area to lessen the burden during the year because of EC, college apps and all.

I am watching some Khan Academy videos for biology and I will be taking the online course. I don't know what to do for Calculus and chem and I've heard the teachers were bad. Should I just buy some prep books and read as much as I can?

For Bio, try to get a copy of Campbell’s (6th edition or above should work; you can get them used pretty cheaply). Look over some of the chapters, especially the biochem and cell biology stuff in the beginning. Khan Academy is good to learn the basics, but Campbell is far more detailed so that when you take the class you’ll just be reviewing.

IDK about chem and calc, sorry.

For Bio, just get CliffNotes. It’ll be enough. People self-stdy using only CliffNotes.

Have you had any exposure to Chem or Calc before? For now, just get familiar with the basic concepts i.e. how chemical bonds work, the periodic table, molar conversions, etc.

For Calc, just get a textbook from the library and work through it a bit. I’m sure you’ll be fine.

thanks for the replies. I took honor Chemistry in my sophomore year. So it’s been a year and a half. I kinda remember redox reaction, and some of the replacements, but I not sure how much of our H chem class is in AP chem.
