Ouch, that last post is going to wonders for my masculinity :o. I am in fact male if anyone is confused. At least that is what my CC profile says.

lol, don't worry, there's at least one post thinking I'm male... and my name here seems to make it pretty clear...

I don't think I've ever been mistaken for a guy on here.

Why do girls want to be tall anyway? I've never met a guy who said he wanted a tall girl.

An interesting thing I've discovered is that a taller a girl gets (a tall girl being 5'8" and up), the less height-discriminating she gets. For example, I've heard of 5' shorties demanding 6+ footers, but I've never heard of a leggy 5'11" girl demanding a guy who is 6'5" or over. The few really tall girls I know (6' and 6'1" respectively) both date guys at least a couple of inches shorter than they are; they're not out there chasing 7' basketball giants. My theory is that tall girls have experienced the negative aspects of being vertically gifted, and thus do not hold height in such reverence.

I think that short girls want tall guys because their deficiency in the height department makes them feel vulnerable, therefore they want a big guy to protect them. This is just a guess though.

1) I loved being tall when I was little
2) sports

<generalization> Tall guys might also create a sense of security </generalization>

Also, because if you're a short girl dating a short guy....you just look wierd together. Like a mini-couple lol...this is coming from a 5'1.5" girl who is dating a guy who's 6"1. At first, I thought we looked kind of awkward together as well, but now I think it's cute :)

What's with all this preoccupation with security? If you lived in downtown NYC, then I could understand that view. But what about all the people who live in the suburbs? What are you afraid of, the drive-by glee clubbing?

It's because we (and by we, I'm speaking for myself and my tall girl friends) have mostly given up on tall guys ever showing interest since they always seem to go after the short girls. I prefer guys that are 6'2 or 3 (so I can wear shoes other than flip-flops and actually feel like a girl)...but I've only dated one guy that was that tall; the rest have been between 5'8 and 6'.

I am a girl who is 5'2 and i like my guys to be at least 6', the taller the better ( in most cases!!)

I'd actually rather a guy be only a little taller than me. 5'6-5'9. (I'm 5'5.5)

the blondie girl has returned....OMFGGGGGG

Sad, sad moment, huh?

you just couldn't resist this place, could you?

p.s. couldn't you tell i was ecstatic>?

I can't resist anything.

I liek girls shorter than me. It makes me feel strong. :D. I have issues

I think the ideal female height is 5'5": you can pretty much be with any guy of reasonable stature (5'7" to 6'4") and not look awkward.
