How the prestigiosity ratings became green!

Wow- 4 boxes GAmom. Your post in that “other” thread musta gotten a LOT of likes!!

Are green squares given out by holistic assessment?

Peer assessment with a bit of prestigiosity thrown in. If some junior member likes your post, you may only get 2 or 4 points but some senior member can give 40 points at once (don’t know if it is based on number of posts or years).

So if people want large chunks of points, they need to suck up to the elders here!

Really? A senior member liking your post gives you more points than a junior member? It’s almost like having a rec from the president!

Texaspg-
I am bribe-able…

*** show me the love…

This is cracking me up - anyone want to take a stab at scripting a movie out of this ala “War Games”??? I’d PAY to see that!!!:)

I have something like 7 or 8 approvals for a total of 160+ points.

The first three or 4 so were from senior members and I had 128 points in no time (someone who knew their worth told me in secret they gave me lots of points!). Since then my numbers have been going up by 4, 6, 8 etc because most of my other friends are quite junior.

Jym - you are a rockstar ma’am!

Why thank you, texaspg, thank you very much. As an old timer around these parts, I will happily contribute to your ratings/“reputation”. I would of course… ahem, cough cough… never actively solicit the same, as Hunt says he found out the hard way that was frowned upon. Is that really true, Hunt??

I was chastised for soliciting votes in an online competition to choose a marching band to perform the “Hawaii 5-O” theme song in connection with the new TV incarnation. I have pretty much lived down the shame. But it does still show up on my control panel page.

OK, now wait just a gosh darned minute. When I endorsed texaspg’s post # 236 (how many points did it give you, texas??) it thanked me and said maybe he would do the same in return. So we can’t encourage the warm fuzzies but CC can suggest they “might” return the favor? What a tease!!

**** oooohh-- thanks for the clarification Hunt. That wasn’t here that soliciting was poo-pooed…

Thank you jym! I do like to return favors although I am not certain how much I contribute!

I am guessing you are in the 30-40 group!

How many points did you get with my endorsement?? Wanna know what power I wield… BWAAAHHAHAHAHAHA…

jym626, I can’t aspire to the upper echelon like you and GAMOM! But if someone  did give me some points I could tell them immediately how many because they would be my only points-no confusion:)!

Happy to support your AWESOME post, moreover, but I am tapped out for the day. I have shown all the love I am allowed today. But, if you love this post and remind me in it that its from you, I’ll be baaaaaack tomorrow :)

There you go Moreover. :)

Thanks so much GAMOM. I feel special and in the club now! You gave me 28 points. No problem jym and everyone knows you both are really nice so we need to get you both to the next level to discover a better comment.

Congratulations jym on being named a “glorious beacon of light”. Perhaps a special dinner tonight or some wine? Well, now I have a goal for the next few years…

I will quit CC when my rating goes to 4 squares.

oh my. one would think glorious beacons of light have an unending supply of light to dispense!

Moreover, I gave you a click just before 2 pm CT. If you check it soon maybe we can all get some idea of what 1700 posts are worth in green-box points and start to determine the formula they use.

So the more random 10-character posts I make in the Chance-Me section, the more power I have here to help my friends?

Yea, it’s kinda stupid for us adults to be wasting time on this, but I am rather fond of figuring out a system works. :)
