I am filling out the FAFSA form and the question asks for my parents highest level of education. I don’t think they ever completed high school but maybe junior high. However, if they did complete jr. high it would be in Mexico, so does their schooling still count or is it asking for the highest level completed in the U.S? Thank you
The highest level completed anywhere.
Yes, highest level anywhere.
Are you filling out the FAFSA for this current year? The forms for 2019-20 school year won’t be available until Oct 1.
@twoinanddone Okay, thanks! It’s for the 2019-2020 year, I’m a high school senior. I read that it’s best to get it turned in as close as close to Oct. 1 as possible so I wanted to get an early start. I filled out most of it, does that mean that I’ll have to redo it?
Yes, you will have to redo it. You are filling out the wrong one. The Fafsa for the 2019-20 school year becomes available on October 1, 2018. Fill it out as close to October 1 as possible, but AFTER 10/1.
