I have written three different drafts of my biographical essay and nothing seems to be clicking. It just comes off as listing different parts of my life with very little depth. How did you guys approach writing your essay? Did you write about one specific event or write about multiple events?

There is no “prescribed” way to write the essay. Just do what feels best to you, also which shows your best writing. Which one do you want to share about yourself? Is one about how miserable your life has been (due to whatever circumstances)? Is one about how you overcame that? Is one about your future? Combine them and focus primarily on your future.
