I am an international student (Asian, Male) but I have an American Passport and claim to citizenship by birth. However, another person like me has applied and has said I’ll be treated as a national as I haven’t lived there for many years (that person got into a top 20 US uni recently). Is this true?
My ECF is somewhere around $3500, while I think I might qualify for the minimum Pell aid (no taxes, that’s why minimum) which might add a little to that.
My grades are above average, while my class rank isn’t that great (though this might be offset as my school is one of the leading institutes in the country. In the SAT, I got a 2230 (CR 700, M800, W730). SATII, hopefully 2400 in Phy Chem Maths2. For the rest of my app: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/discussion/comment/18550676
Where should I begin my search? Should I look at all the need blind colleges only? And do I stand a shot at a good US uni in my aid or should I just look at my home country?
