<p>I am an intelligent person, but a very bad SAT taker! I'm looking for ways too boost my score by 300 points or so?? <em>i learn fast</em>

<p>ivy's arent that great...its just an atheltic league...if you want to go to any ivy just for its name, its probably not a good pick...however, if you really do love the schools, then apply...and chill about the sat's, they're not everything...granted for ivies your sat (and mine i might add) should be a bit higher, they don't make the whole decision...just study as much as you can from now til the 21st, and relax when you take the test</p>
<p>its easy to get an 800 on math, just practice alot and get the book SAT 1600 by kaplan (it doesn't really get you a 1600 but improves your score drastically).</p>

<p>first time i took it I never studied, I just went to an SAT academy and assumed that would help. I got a 1370 (which isnt a bad score at all). Second time, after continuing to go to the academy, I got a 1430. A month and a half before my third try at the SAT, I went to BORDER's every day from around 5-11pm taking practice tests and doing most of the SAT books there. I got a 1560. I think I have to thank my group of 6 friends or so who came w/ me to BORDER's every day to study w/ me. It helps A LOT when you have people who can be accountable for u and make sure ur studying.</p>

<p>For math take practive tests! There probably wont be anything you dont know, but it is an issue of time and stupid mistakes. Just try to do math every day the month before the test. For me I had to get in the right mode for math. I didnh have calc for a tri, and I made a 680 on math, and the next time I took it Was during calculus and I made a 760. If you get used to doing math every day it should help. </p>
<p>I improved my verbal from 590 on PSAT to 770 by memorizing vocabulary. Word Smart helped me a ton cause in the back is the "SAT HIt Parade," which is very helpful. Try memorizing! ANd for the 15 minute section where thiere is only one passage my trick is to read it twice. Read through then read the questions and read through again....this really helped me to understand the passage.</p>
