How to calculate top %s: State wide path

Is there a way to calculate the correlation between top %s with the UC score?
UC site given below has the UC score calculation to identify the top 9%
[University of California - Statewide path](http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/freshman/california-residents/admissions-index/index.html)

As an example,
UC GPA = 4.14
UC score of 283 (based on the SAT score)

Where would this score fall into? Top 5%?, top 3%? or top 2%?
Is it possible to evaluate this?

I am just curious.
Thanks.

Last minute surprise… my DS got 35 from Dec ACT test.
So I am sure he would be in top 5% (UC score went up to 296).

Happy New Year to all!
