I have decided to attend a different college but am unsure how to decline my admission to Boston College. I have looked all over my portal and want to decline to make room for those on the waitlist but I can’t figure out how. Any guidance would be much appreciated :))
Do what everyone does to me all the time on Tinder, just don’t respond. Seems to work for them.
You can always email the admissions counselor for your area. You are so nice to make room for others on the waitlist. Good luck to you!!
When you don’t respond by May 1st you automatically have decided. You can email the admissions counselor or the mailbox.
It won’t have any real impact on the waitlist until the deadline in any case. But the email is very polite.
Did you apply and get accepted in an Early Decision cycle?
If so, that may complicate withdrawing.
I was having the same issue, but I actually just found out how to decline your offer of admission. Go to your Admitted Student Portal from your Agora Portal, scroll down a little, and click the blue “Withdraw your application?” hyperlink on the far right side of the screen (if you’re on a computer). You’ll be taken to a form you need to fill out to decline your offer of admission. Hope this helps!
