At our school we have four semesters per year. We take four classes each semester and they run twice as fast. Thus, by the third semester (which is in February), you would have completely new courses. How do I fill this out on the common app, since there are only "trimesters", not "quadrimesters"?

put it under the additional info section. it doesnt really matter anyways, colleges look at your transcript for your courses

just pretend that your first two semesters are the first semester, and your last two semesters are the second semester. put them in order by semester once you figure out your schedule.

ex.
column one:
first semester courses
then second semester courses

column two:
third semester courses
then fourth semester courses

You should do this because “semester” means divided into two. You/your school should really call your four semesters “quarters.” It says “Indicate quarter classes taken in the same semester on the appropriate semester line.” So if you have the class AP English - write Q1/Q2/Q3/Q4 or just the number 1/2/3/4 in front. Ex. Q3 AP English

I have block as well. I put my first term classes in the 1st column, and then the new classes I get second semester in the 2nd column. Whatever extra classes I couldn’t fit I put into the last column, not really following the ‘term structure’ asked, but that’s the only way to fit them

Just list them all over one semester
