how to fill in SAT Bubbles

circl the answer first, the nafter done. fill in the ovals for all of them. or fill in the ovals as you go?

I believe the former will waste a lot of time.

It's recommended that you go in chunks, at least for the c.reading part. They (p.review and kaplan) suggest finishing 5-6 questions and circling them on the paper straight away, so you don't lose your train of thought. Then bubble them. They suggest to keep these chunks limited to 5-8 though, becuase you don't want to run out of time, and have the answers done but not bubbled...

however, if you don't lose your train of thought, bubble after each question - saves time.

90% of the circle should b filled

Really? I usually just put an X in the middle of the bubble.

I do it question by question, but some people do it differently. Just do it quickly and neatly, with the least possible movement. Use each second for problem solving that you can. Bubble filling is a silly thing to worry about.

DONT put in an X. It cant always be picked up by the machine that grades the bubbles. And whats the point of doing 90%. That doesnt save any time. Thats just silly.

Fill bubbles after each page or two. 5-10 minutes before the 'stop' time, fill in as you go.

Wow, to be honest I'd never considered that anyone would use a different method than I do (bubbling each one as I answer it).

I used to bubble as i answer the question, but tried the new method and it worked for me. The method makes sense to me, how it could help you go faster, but i guess it depends on preference

I always just bubbled as I went. It worked well for me and leaves me less of a chance to make a mistake because I look at the last answer and double check it as I bubble the next one in. Also, as has been said, you can easily get caught with no time left and many questions not bubbled in if you aren't careful.

OMG. THERE R SO MANY TOPICS ON THIS. search it!

every1: yea 90% is how much it should be filled, atleast. unless u want hand scoring-then put the however u want it and it will take less time.

OO MAN TOMORROW IS DA DAY.

in up your score they have affirmed that the scanner will pick up a slash, or if you're daring, the 'dot' in the center. i'm not daring, so i do 50% bubbles. lol.

get a fat pencil and make a short mark on the sheet- saves time. :)

haha, I actually agree w/ ecnerwalc.
I use a relatively dull pencil so it takes less time.
