I had my brows microbladed once and the color has lightened up a lot so I’m due for a touch up. I’ve been told I needed a touch up every few years so I am surprised you can’t do it 3 or more times. I use Benefit’s brow zing for touch ups in the mean time.
I can vouch for the efficacy of eyebrow growth serums, having used RapidBrow for several years now. It took several months of consistent use, but the results have been terrific. My friend, who is darker complected than I, saw much quicker results. I haven’t tried any other brands. Nordstrom supposedly sells a good one, but it’s more than double the cost. Be careful where you purchase, as there are a lot of counterfeiters.
I must have misunderstood the technician, because it sounds like you have to keep doing microblading. The Anastasia products sound appealing, reading the reviews, people really seem to love them. I don’t know how brow powder can stay on all day, it seems like it would come off if you accidentally touched it or sweated a bit. Yet the reviews say it’s long lasting.
Interesting on the possibility of counterfeiters for the eyebrow growth serums. I think it would be well worth spending the extra money to get it from Nordstroms or the manufacturer, to make sure you’re actually getting the real product.
Thank you all for the advice! I think I will try the recommended products first, before doing the microblading again.
Dermalmd Eyebrow Growth Serum I am not kidding you when I tell you this stuff is freakin amazing!!! I have had sparse eyebrows since my 20’s and had been forced to draw on with many different products, and even went to the expense of microblading once… but now they are back in full force!!!
I found that using the brow product that looks like a little mascara wand is so much more natural than a pencil. I use it very lightly (and use a very light shade so the effect isn’t too jarring w/my skin tone/hair). I’m sure others can make a pencil work - I just could never make it look natural enough.
When I looked for the product I bought (something at Ulta) - I found this! A host of brow services. Maybe worth checking out? There’s some stuff that’s touted as 24 hour!
