I go to the University of Utah, which is I guess a 'fairly good' business schools. It's ranked somewhere around 112 for its undergraduate program, which to me is pretty good. If i were to go to this school, graduate with an undergraduate degree in econ/finance/acc. with interns and extracurricular activities, is it possible to get a good job there? Possibly making 50K-100k?

am i at a disadvantage since i didn't go to an ivy league school?

Sorry to shatter your dreams, but if you don’t go to a “target school” getting a job at Goldman Sachs (or IB in general) is close to impossible. There are of course exceptions to every rule but I’d say it’s pretty tough. More info to be found there <a href=“Forums | Wall Street Oasis”>http://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums

Good luck.

Agreed with @NYCguy2020 . I doubt that Goldman Sachs recruits at your college. If it does you might have a shot if you have a really high GPA. If it does not recruit - which is most likely- then I think it would be near impossible.

Even for small jobs? like an analyst?

Chances are really small to impossible. Any chance that you can transfer to BYU Marriot? It is also in Utah

A good guage is to check your on campus recruitment and see how many other graduates have received offers at GS. They do have operation programs which are not as competitive as IB but you need to have exceptional grades (3.8+) at a non target school to be competitive.

Where are your internships? A good number of GS offers are given to students who intern at GS during the summer of their junior year or other big name banks.
