Hi, I was just recently informed that I was selected as a Boy’s State delegate in the state of Florida. I am going to try to run for a Governor position and hopefully go to Boy’s Nation, but how hard is it? I have a minor background in politics having followed foreign and domestic issues, interning for my Congressman, self studying AP government classes, and reading books on foreign policy. I also have a background serving leadership position is six of the eight clubs/sports/organizations I am in. My public speaking skills aren’t great, I don’t get nervous, but I have an issue with stuttering and articulating words sometimes. Generally, what are my chances? Is Florida a competitive state? I don’t know anyone that has ever gone through this program so any advice/help would be appreciated. Thank you!
