<p>I don’t understand how that was amusing. Maybe it was amusing in some way I don’t understand, but could understand, or maybe it was amusing to you in a way I could never understand. </p>

<p>Anyway, dogs are nice. There was this one slightly disturbing incident though, when I was taking public transportation, and my thoughts were unconsciously meandering, and suddenly I became aware of what I was thinking: in a moment of perplexity I realized I was imagining myself kissing this yawning border collie standing in the grass beside the bus. </p>

<p>I think it was just a show of unconscious affection, but it may have been a tiny bit more than that. But my point is - who knows, you might find yourself thinking things you never expected.</p>
